Rescue:

Two women, who became friends by walking a common community trail together, notice
stray cats and sometimes kittens on the trail every year. These cats are rescued and either
the women have given them a permanent home themselves, or found friends and family to
take them. The cats are friendly and affectionate once their trust is gained because of
course living outdoors can be nerve-racking. The have put their trust in people before and
ended up living without regular food, shelter, and no human interaction. Jaime was noticed
at the beginning of the summer, very frightened and when he realized people had noticed
him he would scoot back into the bush. The women would watch for him to come out again
or leave food for him and eventually he became to expect it. Finally, the day came when
they were able to pet him and Jamie was soon brought into Pet Patrol care. It is quite obvious
he was owned by people before but for whatever reason was abandoned.

Personality:

Jamie is a lovely cat. He is pretty chill but also has a playful side. Initially he can be a little
reserved and concerned when his environment is changed, just until he is more familiar with
things. He is curious and wants to make sure he knows where everything is. Jamie has
discovered toys again, and can be seen with a catnip toy rolling around on the floor, with a
big kitty smile on his face. He is adorable. He can be found sunning himself in the window,
and watching the world from the safety of the window sill. Jamie is a beautiful cat inside
and out and ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors
