Rescue
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers noticed a pretty grey tabby kitty in her back garden, just strolling through on her way to nowhere. Here we go again! This was not the first time. Quite often cats would find their way to her property, as it is tranquil and she has a shed that makes and protected little home for them. She began asking neighbours if they knew who owned the cat and this is Gypsy’s story. She originally lived in another city and her owner passed away. The family members did not want all his cats, and took them to the local shelter. A relative bailed Gypsy out, thinking she was saving her from being euthanized. She lived about a block from our volunteer’s home and released Gypsy outdoors, unspayed and without shelter! So here is poor Gypsy, a friendly cat, dumped. As our volunteer began feeding her she could not help but notice that this kitty was pregnant and getting close to her due date. So she convinced her to come inside where Gypsy showed us that she is a wonderful cat. She settled in and soon gave birth to six beautiful kittens.
Personality
Gypsy is beautiful. She is sweet and affectionate, loves her care giver and is appreciative of being indoors. She is a playful cat as well, and loves anything with catnip in it. Tossing a toy for her to run after and pounce on is a favourite. Gypsy will crawl up onto your lap and cuddle right in, she will be good company for someone who wants another heart beat in the home. Gypsy is ready to be adopted into home that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
