Rescue:

Here is Diesel’s story: A man had walked into the store at a gas station and told the staff
that he had found a kitten outside and then promptly held up baby Diesel in one hand. He
asked if anyone was missing this little guy from their car and the staff said there were no
reports. He sat Diesel down on the counter and as the woman admired him the man said
“so you’re looking after him now right?” and then left the store. She was stunned. She
called the local shelters but it was after hours and then contacted a Pet Patrol volunteer that
she knew through social media. Diesel arrived in our care thin, smelling of oil and was
limping, but after a nice bath and vet attention he thrived. It wasn’t long after he regained
his health that Diesel was adopted by a young couple. Fast forward six years and once
again Diesel is in Pet Patrol care. During his life in this home, the couple had children and
Diesel was not coping well. They tried to make things easier for him and provide him with
extra attention and space away from the children but he was not happy. They really took
their time and did their best, but ultimately it became clear that he needed a new home

Personality:

Diesel is a very nice, calm and easy going cat, who loves his people and likes to be around
them. He was raised as an only cat, so a home that is more serene and perhaps one other
easy going cat would be best for him. He is playful and fun loving, likes the crinkle tunnel,
toys that bounce and the kitty climber provides the best view of the neighbourhood. Diesel
makes himself at home and will cuddle with you for a movie and at bedtime, he is just a
really nice boy. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
