Rescue:

Cooper is an orphan. Pet Patrol received a call about a young kitten who had been crying all night long from underneath a mobile home. This property was surrounded by farm fields and busy highways, and there was no mother cat in sight. The people who own the trailer tried in vain to get under the trailer to find the kittens and rescue them, but they were not agile enough. The next morning one of our volunteers, who is slim and has long arms, was able to crawl under the trailer and save this poor kitten. What he found under the trailer was a lot of mud, as there had been a number of rainy days leading up to this. Visibly there were pipes and wiring for the trailer and a few nonperishable items, then he found a hole. It was like a large pipe in the ground that was filled with soft, wet mud and there was little Cooper, crying for his life. As sad as it sounds, the only way this kitten survived was by sitting on his siblings who had passed away. They insulated him from the chilling wet mud. He was one happy kitten to he held, warmed up and fed.

Personality:

Cooper is a very outgoing and fun loving kitten. He was very lucky when he arrived at Pet Patrol that we had a nursing mother cat, with two kittens of the same age. She took to him immediately and he is so grateful for this chance at life. New things can frighten him sometimes, but within a minute or two he will be inspecting it. He is sweet, gentle and adventurous. It would be a good idea that he be adopted into a home with a buddy, as he needs the companionship and someone to cuddle up to. This little one likes to be picked up and carried around and he is definitely a lap cat. Cooper is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
