Rescue:
Brandy is an adorable dark Torti girl who came from a nice farm that had a few animals in
the barn and a number of acres of land. There was just one man living there alone, doing
all the work himself and taking care of the animals and the cats too. He loved the cats and
made sure they were warm and dry, fed and had fresh water and a lot of attention. They
adored him and would come running when he went into the barn and would rub up against
his legs. But life changes at times and it was apparent that the cats could not stay there
any longer. The man was concerned about the cats and wanted them to have a better
home life than with cows and chickens. He contacted a local cat rescue organization that
he had worked with the year before to have the adult cats spayed or neutered. In return,
because they were at capasity with kitties in their facility, they called Pet Patrol to see if we
were able to take Brandy and a few others in.
Personality:
Brandy is adorable. She is petite, friendly, affectionate and fun loving. It is very nice to
see cats that have been raised in a rural setting, without the luxuries of a home, be outgoing
and people oriented. When she first came into Pet Patrol care, she had no hesitation in
being pet or coming up to people for attention and a nice chin scratch. In fact it was
difficult to take her photos because she wanted to nuzzle the photographer. She is playful
and is enjoying toys, which are nonexistent on a farm. She is thrilled with the catnip nice.
Brandy is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
