Rescue
While Pet Patrol was out visiting a farm, looking for a lost cat, they came across little Benjamin and his litter mates. These poor little kittens, just eight weeks old, were so sick with upper respiratory we were surprised they were even able to breath. Their eyes were runny and infected, their noses encrusted with dried discharge and they were thin and malnourished. Every night at least one of the volunteers returned to the farm to feed the kittens, fighting mosquitos, the smell of the stinky barn and the hot, muggy weather of mid summer. The kittens would be sitting there, waiting for their dinner. One evening, arriving just a little later than usual, our volunteer found three of the kittens plunked down around the food dish, sadly looking in the empty bowl. It was so heart wrenching. Over time, two at a time, the kittens were rescued. All were frightened but not aggressive, and they responded to their medication and good food right away. Benjamin is now healthy and ready to be adopted.

Personality
It took a little while for Benjamin to come around to people, but the Pet Patrol volunteers helped him to gain confidence. We are now able to pick him up, cuddle him and he readily purrs – loud and clear. He is sweet and gentle, can be cradled like a baby and is very happy when you come home after work, he give lots of kitty kisses then. Benjamin loves his toys, is energetic and great at investigating anything and every thing. He would do best in a home where there is a playmate, as he likes to have games of Tag and also to snuggle with them. Benjamin is ready to be adopted into a loving and gentle home. One that will keep him safely indoors and welcome him as apart of the family. He is wonderful.
