Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who had noticed this lovely gray and white cat
roaming her small town. He had been ripping into garbage bags seeking food and was
found sleeping under cars and in carports trying to find some refuge from the ever-changing
weather. People were getting upset about his destructive actions and posted him on the
city Pet Lost and Found site. His owners were found and Beau was returned. As they tell
the story he was adopted when he was only eight weeks old and at six months he decided
he wanted to be outdoors. He started wandering farther and farther away until he finally
disappeared for long periods of time. The family wanted to keep him in, they loved Beau
and whenever he returned home they made sure that he was checked over by the vet. In
talking with the family we tried to figure out what was upsetting him in the house, and why
he did not want to stay in. We could only surmise it was because of the other cat in the
house. Now in a foster home, Beau is content and relaxed. He has no inclination to be
outdoors and is quite happy in this pretty chill environment.
Personality:
Beau is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He will spend most of his time either curled
up with you on your couch or on your lap. He’s a relatively quiet boy except when he wants
attention and demonstrates he wants pets by nudging his head into your legs. Throughout
the day he will sit himself in front of your window and watch as people go about their business
outside. He is very content and enjoys a quiet environment preferably with no other
pets or children, as he likes to be the star of the show. Beau is adored in his foster home
and ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors.
