Rescue:
Little Amber and Andy were born on a farm. It was way off the beaten path and there was
not another property within view. Their mother cat showed up as a stray in the fall and
appeared to be very thin and disheveled. She looked like she had traveled a long way, and
was lucky to find the farm before a predator got her. She spent the winter with the other
barn cats, trying to find a warm comfortable place during the cold weather. The cats were
fed which was good because they would maintain decent weight. Being unspayed it was
just a matter of time for her to reveal her pregnancy this spring and she had her kittens in
the hayloft. When the nest was discovered the kittens were about six weeks old and that is
when Pet Patrol was notified. The mother cat has since been spayed and the kittens came
into our care at the same time. They have loved being inside and safe.
Personality:
Amber is smaller than her brother Andy, but she has tons of love to give. She is playful
and fun, enjoying all the new toys and exploring the foster home. She will wrestle with her
brother, but right now he is bigger and sometimes too much for her. Amber is definitely the
most affectionate of the two and needs someone who will give her lots of love and cuddles.
She is ready to be adopted into her forever home with her brother Andy. One that will
welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
