Rescue:

A message was left on the Pet Patrol line from a local farm. “We are wondering if you would
like another cat. We have one here, he is Friendly but we don’t need another one on the property. He wants in the house so he must have come from one at some point. Can you help
him?” One of our volunteers went over to pick up this sweet boy and found him in the barn. It
had been raining for weeks and it was cold, damp and dim inside. He was sitting up in a
windowsill, over the goat pen, but couldn’t see outside because it was dusty and coated in
grime. When he was picked up it was apparent that he had not been fed for quite sometime
as he was extremely thin and had a weak meow. Once back at the sanctuary he filled his
tummy with food and the warmth of the room put him into a deep comforting sleep. Ridley has
recovered from his ordeal beautifully.

Personality:

Ridley is a wonderful, sweet and affectionate cat. He is a smaller boy, easily picked up and
cuddles right in. He is happy to be inside, safe, warm and with all the toys and cat climbers in
the playroom. He loves looking out the big, bright windows and watching the fields, traffic and
the volunteers coming and going. Ridley greets you at the door and makes himself comfortable in your lap, he is good company and nice to have around. When he finds a toy that inspires his curiosity, he may not be willing to share with the other cats, but over all is a good
little guy. Ridley is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into
the family and keep him safely indoors.
