Rescue:

Pet Patrol received the following text message from one of our
volunteers: Hey! I’m at my friend’s farm right now, I’m staying until
tomorrow.  There is a four week old kitten that got separated from it’s
mom somehow.  Apparently they heard her crying during the night, but
couldn’t find her until the next morning. She was found outside the barn
in some mud, the farmer took her in and fed her canned cat food.  My
friend has been keeping her alive for a week but her stomach is all
bloated.  I was thinking about bringing her home with me tomorrow, but I
think she should be at the sanctuary for a bit because she needs some
intensive care. Maybe she should be on kitten formula.
She wouldn’t be able to get that here because it is just a barn..  They still can’t find the other
kittens because the mom is feral and has hidden them.   The very next
day a very bedraggled, thin and concerned little Fawnie came into Pet
Patrol care and she has thrived from then on.

Personality:

Don’t let this one’s adorable cuteness fool you; she is a handful! Fawnie is very adventurous
and always looking for things to explore and play with. She is a climber and will sit on your
shoulder getting that bird’s eye view, or scramble up the cat tree. She likes to be up high so
she can take it all in and know what is going on at all times. Fawnie is playful and will chase
after balls, plastic springs and anything on a string. She is very entertaining. She is usually
found sprawling across something when she sleeps (so much fluff must be warm). She likes
chin scratches but is too busy to be held for long. This pretty girl is ready to be adopted into
her forever home with her foster sister Fiona or where there is a playmate. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
