Rescue:
Daisy and her sister Squeaky were adopted together by a young man, who struggles with
life at times, but is independent and able to live on his own. He has raised these two cats
strictly indoors and in a quiet home, has enjoyed their company greatly, watching them grow
up. The man’s mother took sick and had to go into a care facility, she was quite worried
about her dog and insisted her son take it to his home. Even though the woman was a senior,
her dog was quite young and active, but also untrained. As would happen, the dog
chased the cats and the cats would hide and refuse to come out. Eventually one of the cats
decided she wasn’t going to run away from the dog anymore, and stood her ground. The
dog received many swift scratches on his nose but still insisted on chasing them. Things
were just not working out. As much as he tried to teach the dog to sit and stay, the energy
between the animals was explosive. With a heavy heart he had to re home his girls and even
though he knew Pet Patrol would do their best to find a lovely home for them, he will miss
them greatly. (Daisy and Squeaky are not showing the affection towards each other as
predicted, and we are seeking individual homes for them.)
Personality:
Daisey is the most affectionate and cuddly cat and adores face scratches. She is a conversationalist
as well, mewing gently and grumbling up a storm to let you know she wants more
pets. She will sleep right up against you in your bed and even hop up onto your lap while you
are at your desk. Daisey is extremely dependent on her humans and would do best in a
home where the owners are nearly always present. She adores her treats and will come
running as soon as she hears the treat bag rustle. Daisey is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
