Rescue
Pet Patrol is connected to many other cat rescue organizations, and we work together for the benefit of the cat. The cat in jeopardy is always the most important thing and when there is an urgent situation then we all try to pull together. Uro’s story: This good lookin fella was turned into a Vet clinic in a small town not so far away. He had been found on the street and the person who turned him in was not willing to help any further than that. So Uro was placed in a cage and the staff had hoped to find him a home. The week passed and soon it was Friday. It is not unusual to have pets that belong to paying customers, stay overnight or for the weekend if they are ill. The staff have to come into the clinic four times a day, to administer medication, walk dogs or monitor progress. This weekend the clinic would be empty except for Uro and another kitty Zola. Unbelievably none of the staff wanted to come in just to feed two homeless cats so they were going to euthanize them both. Shameful. Through the grapevine and with wonderful volunteers who offered to drive, these two cats safely came into Pet Patrol care.
Personality
Uro is a chatty fella who knows what he wants… mostly you and food. He is gentle and sweet and kind. He can be found cuddled up to whoever is on the couch or snoozing on the bed, he likes to groom the kittens and he plays with the other foster cats in the house as well. He is quite the acrobat with the kitty climber and he can pounce on a cat nip toy like no other. But he is best at cuddling and purring. Uro is very affectionate and he shows his appreciation for being saved from a life ending situation. Uro is ready to be adopted into a gentle and loving home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
