Two ladies who live on a rural road outside of town have been feeding a very happy and affectionate tabby cat for a little while. He arrived out of nowhere it seems, and immediately camped out on their back porch. The area they live in is very isolated, only about three houses for a three mile stretch. There are only gravel roads, open fields and some forest. The women think this boy (whom they named Toulouse) was dumped by an uncaring person. He was unwanted. Toulouse is very used to people and being indoors, but having two dominant dogs who are known to be aggressive towards cats, they couldn’t risk having him in their house. The ladies made him a nice comfortable space in a clean shed, with a heat lamp over his bed. He was safe there from predators and they went out to visit him many times during the day to cuddle him. In the meantime they tried to find his original home, a new home or a cat rescue to take him in. Eventually Pet Patrol was found and Toulouse has done very well here.

Toulouse has such a sweet face. He is a charmer too. Ready for a pet and a cuddle at any time, he greets people of all ages quickly and is very happy for their attention. He settled right in at the sanctuary with only curiosity and questions ( a few inquisitive meows) and is good with the other cats here as well. We may never know where he originally came from, but he was treated gently as he is not fearful or aggressive in any way. He is a lovely cat with a playful side and certainly loves his catnip toys. Toulouse is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
