Rescue
Poor Tori, in her short life she has had many changes. Her first home was with a young woman who got a huge job promotion and in celebration she adopted Tori as a kitten. She was then transferred to another city and left Tori behind with her roommate (we don’t understand why). The roommate suffered from bouts of depression and some times Tori got a lot of attention, amd then for long periods of time she got nothing. Sometimes she had a regular routine and was fed daily, had water and a clean litter box. Then there would be nothing. The basement apartment they moved into was dark and damp. Junk and garbage accumulated and it smelled mouldy. It just added to the depression. The girl’s family convinced her to give Tori to Pet Patrol so that a better home could be found.

Personality
Tori came to Pet Patrol suffering from depression like her previous owner. She was despondent, and did not care if anyone came near her. She just curled up on the kitchen chair and hid her head. It is common for cats to take on our emotions and feel what we feel. This may seem charming, but it can be detrimental to the cat. They are not meant to carry our sorrow or anger; they should only have happiness and security. They are just little cats. Tori has settled into her foster home and with a lot of love and care and a dependable schedule of good food, fresh water and a clean litter box, she has improved. Needing more stimulus to bring her out of her depression, we have introduced her to a fully enclosed, garden filled backyard. She is thrilled and we have watched Tori become a friendly and affection-seeking kitty over the past two years. She is now starting to blossom. Tori is ready to be adopted into a gentle and loving home that is calm and predictable. It is essential that she have everything that Pet Patrol has provided for her, to continue her good mental health.
