Pet Patrol has volunteers that help out in all different ways, and work in all different types of employment We received a call from one of our long time volunteers who works in a pet food store and she said that a man had just come in with a little six week old kitten. They were on their way to a camp ground for a few days and noticed her on the side of the road. Their children insisted they turn around and rescue her. The man wondered if the store would keep her for them until they returned, since it was a ‘No Pet’ park. Not being in a position to do that, and noticing that the kitten was very underweight, and had a cold and eye infections, our volunteer suggested that he take her to a local vet and have them care for her, and board her until they return. The man thought that would be too expensive. The volunteer then suggested that they relinquish custody to Pet Patrol where proper care would be given and a new home would be found, the man agreed. Our volunteer raced Tiny to the sanctuary on her break from work, where she received medical attention and nutrition.

We named her Tiny because she was so very small and light weight when rescued. She is the sweetest little girl. She is fiercely loyal to her loved ones, including her human family and feline sister, Talia. She is always thrilled to see her people come back at the end of a work day, and greets her people at the door with her tail held high and with lots of bird calls and crooning. She adores belly rubs and will follow her people around the house to get some extra attention. Tiny has come a long way in the last few months in foster care and is ready to be adopted into her forever home with her BFF Talia. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
