Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who works in barns, does dog walking and takes in many stray and abandoned animals.  In one of the farms there are six cats that are considered to be pets, and are watched over, fed and watered and proper housing is available for them as well. One day a nice looking long haired orange and white cat showed up. He had not been noticed before and they were not sure if he had migrated from another farm property or he was dumped off in the middle of the night.  We will never know.  They called him Tigga and thought that they might keep him as part of their colony.  But over time it appeared that the cats were not getting along and it was decided that Tigga must be the problem.  A home needed to be found.  He was taken to the woman’s home, which was over crowded and he was destined to live his life in a cage in her garage if another place was not found for him. Pet Patrol gladly took him in. Once in our care we found him to be loving and affectionate, interested in people and good with the other cats.  It’s hard to say what actually transpired in the barn, but everyone is much happier now.

Tigga is adorable and has the sweetest face.  He is so grateful to be rescued and in a place where he is safe, has people petting him and giving him love and attention.  He is learning about toys and it took him about a week before he was batting at crinkle balls and using the scratching post.  His integration has gone well and he is now in with the general population of cats at the sanctuary.  He is regaining his confidence and is becoming a relaxed and happy cat.  So good to see. Tigga is ready to be adopted into his forever home.  One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
