Rescue:

Sonny is a good looking boy. He was owned by a young woman who lived on her own and had her nice little cat and adored him. She was independent and had a good life, starting out on her own.  But as with a number of people during the pandemic with Covid, she lost her job and unfortunately had to move in with family. She was not able to bring Sonny with her either because of allergies or because he was not neutered at that time. It was heart breaking for her, and she didn’t want to give him up, but her situation had changed so much that there was just no place for her much loved cat.  Sunny has never been outdoors and had not dealt with the rough life style of having to endure the ever-changing weather and trying to find food daily. He has been a wonderful house cat and much adored. He is now in Pet Patrol care, neutered and vaccinated and ready for his new home

Personality:

It didn’t take any time at all, maybe a minute, for Sonny to make himself at home at the sanctuary. Although he was kept separate from the other cats for a little bit, he was able to see them and observe their activities, toys that they play with and the volunteers that help.  He was quite interested in everything and as they approached his cage he showed no fear. Sonny is a cat that you can easily pick up and cuddle, is very social and goes to people immediately. He loves his toys, he loves his cat tree and he likes looking out the window. But most of all he loves to cuddle up with you, purring deeply and showing his gratitude for being loved. This handsome boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
