There was a colony of young cats found near the main street of the city, who were living in a red shed. Pet Patrol had rescued quite a few of them throughout the winter and was called in to see if we could help Sarah, one of the last cats to be rescued. She was being fed by an elderly woman who was concerned that she might become pregnant, and didn’t want to see the population of the colony increase again. This little dilute Torti just wanted inside the house and tried to get in every chance she could. Sarah had very different colouring than the rest of the cats and wasn’t frightened of people at all. We are not sure if she was really part of that colony or abandoned by her owners to fend for herself. But she is now safely in Pet Patrol care.

Sarah initially seemed unsure about being indoors. It’s a different feeling with the boundaries of ceilings, windows and doors but soon she was stretching out and making herself at home. She likes to be pet and is quite affectionate and sweet. Head rubs, back massages and a nice scratch under the chin go a long way. Sarah is looking for a family who will take the time to know her and are patient. She will return that gift by giving her parents the same love and respect a million times over. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
