A pretty calico named Serena came into Pet Patrol care with her five little kittens, all about seven weeks old. They were found on a property near a famous tourist attraction, but this was not a safe place for her to be. In fact it could have proved to be quite deadly. A friend of one of our volunteers knew the man who owned the property and he had stated to her earlier in the summer that any animal that came onto his property would be shot. He has no use for any feline or wild life trespassers. When he told her about this mother cat and her five adorable kittens (Sadie being one of them) she said he is not to touch them, or go near them, or threaten them. He said “sure you can have these ones”. She immediately drove out to his place and picked them up and then had a stern talk with him. After this experience she will be keeping a very close eye on him and will strongly discourage such behavior. Serena has been very grateful to be brought into safety where her kittens are well looked after and she has plenty of food and a nice safe environment.

Samara has tiger like stripes, especially on her underside. Her beautiful markings are at their best when she flops on her back. She loves belly rubs and will sit for long periods with you while she soaks up all your cuddles. She is also talkative and when she wants more pets she is not afraid to let you know. Samara is ready to be adopted into her forever home with a playmate. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
