Rescue:

A woman called Pet Patrol’s direct line and said “I have a cat in the car and I am bringing it to
you”. this was quite unexpected as usually we receive an email request or message on the
phone line giving us a heads up of the situation. It seems that poor Samantha’s owner had
passed away from a massive stroke. She had had Samantha since she was a wee kitten, but
now this pretty kitty was homeless. No one in her family was prepared to take her into their
home, and a friend offered to take her to someone she knew of. Upon arriving at the residence, the person was not at home and not knowing what to do with Samantha the woman
called Pet Patrol. She was soon on her way and into our care. In learning more about the
situation, no one really knew if this person would have been a good fit for Samantha or if they
were prepared to own a cat, so it seems it all worked out well for this girl.

Personality:

According to family, Samantha is a lovely little cat, well behaved and wonderful with her owner.
She would sometimes hide when new people came into the apartment, understandably, since
it was a quiet and sedate home and the woman rarely left the building. Samantha had her
owner all to herself and was good company for her. She is playful, mostly at night once the
moon has come out, passive and relaxed during the day. She is a big fan of a good scratching
post and likes interactive toys like the wand toy with feather end, crinkle balls and her kitty
tunnel. But basically, she is pretty laid back. Samantha is ready to be adopted into a forever
home where she can continue living the lifestyle she has been raised in. One that is welcoming and understanding of this pretty kitty’s ability to give love and keep her safely indoors
