A text message came through from one of Pet Patrol’s long time volunteers. She said a friend of hers was wondering if we would have space for a little kitten. It’s living outside someone’s house, but they have no intention of letting it inside. It’s very socialized. The location is out of town and she would be going there in five or six days. She would bring it back with her then if we have the space for it. (The thought of a little kitten like that outside for even another hour is frightening, as they can become prey to wild life among other threatening situations.) They figure it came from the nearby farm, but it’s been hanging out at the house for a while. They are feeding it, but not letting it inside. That same evening our volunteer drove to the location and brought little Sable into our care.

Sable has tinges of deep chocolate brown in her fur and is also described as a Smoke tabby. When you part her fur it is white. Very pretty and not common at all. She is such a happy go lucky cat and loves everyone. She is easy to pick up and carry around, she wants nothing more than be to pet, held, cuddled, snuggled and played with. She loves her toys and is quite active and excited about them. Anything that bounces, like a ping pong ball is fair game, and of course, crinkly toys and things that wiggle. Sable is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
