When a neighbour, who is initially a dog lover and owns three of her own, found Russy he was
very dirty and sad looking. He was hiding under a parked car in a driveway and came out to her when she knelt down and talked to him. He was shy but obviously wanting help. He had two spots on his neck that were the size of loonies, one either side of his throat, where the hair was gone and the skin exposed. Very strange. His left eye was watery and she thought that maybe he had been attacked. She brought him into her home, but knew she couldn’t keep him permanently, and then onto the vet. It was revealed that his left eye opening was actually smaller than the right, a birth defect, but badly infected. The bald spots over time became larger, then the hair grew back in after receiving proper nutrition. From there Russy came into Pet Patrol care where he relishes the attention, climate controlled home, lots of food and fresh water, and toys! He went from a very frightened and lost cat, to one that blossomed into a very handsome and gentle cat. Where he originally came from is unknown.

Russy is a solidly built cat, who weighs more than he looks because of muscle. It has been a pleasure to watch him become a happy and healthy boy and is showing us his playful, carefree side. He loves the toys given to him and is quite excited about treat time in the evening. He has done well with integrating in with the other foster cats, and is gentle and sweet. Russy doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled, he will lay on the couch beside you and ask for petting too. Russy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
