Pet Patrol receives calls from smaller rescues that are not able to house large numbers of cats, and they often reach out to larger rescues for help. We received a call from a couple that heard kittens mewing under their front porch. They don’t own a cat. They have no idea where the mother was, or if she was friendly or feral, but they think something happened to her because the wee ones were crying, therefore unfed. They were discovered in a nest of old leaves, way under the deck and it was the middle of November. The couple had to tear apart their porch in order to rescue the babies or they would have died. There were three, two champagne boys and little Rosa Lena, around three weeks old and too young to be without a mother cat. Luckily we had a nursing mother cat and she took on the kittens and they all thrived.

Rosa Lena has always been petite but she is a feisty and tough little girl because she has to keep up with her brothers. She is also very loving and gentle. She is very active and outgoing, and loves to play with just about anything. When she first discovers something new, like a paper bag, toy or a place to climb she takes full advantage, letting her imagination create a lot of fun. She likes her people too, of course, and will follow you around, cuddle beside you and sleep on the bed. She has lots to learn and it will be very entertaining to watch her in action. Rosa Lena is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
