Rajeev was found in the late spring in a small community where many strays wander and are fed. He stood out among the other strays because of his markings. Rajeev had found a feeding station with weather-proof cat shelters made from Rubbermaid totes. The food and water there was replenished daily. A kind woman who tends to most of the strays in the area recognized that he was a friendly but frightened cat. She brought Rajeev indoors to a sun-room. He had a few minor injuries, mysterious long scratches across his shoulders, and his coat was dry and bristly. After some time, care and good nutrition he healed up nicely. He was then brought to Pet Patrol and has done very well since.

Rajeev (the name means “beautiful blue sky”, chosen due to his striking blue eyes) is very cool, calm and collected. He’s an easy-going cat that likes to get up on furniture, and is learning that kitty climbers are pretty nice, but struggles a bit with hardwood floors. Rajeev is quite affectionate and will lay near you and purr up a storm whenever he can. Though he’s not quite a lap cat yet, he’s definitely a people cat. He plays gently and gets along great with other cats. He can be an only cat or a great companion to another kitty. Rajeev is ready to be adopted into his forever home, one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safe indoors
