Rescue
It is unfortunately well known that students, when they move out of their temporary residence, sometimes leave the cat behind. As a rescue organization we know this because we see many colonies of cats living around highly populated student housing, and we are often called to rescue abandoned cats from these areas. The student may adopt a kitty from someone whose cat had a litter, or they may rescue a stray off the street. They may be lonely for their cat from home, or because of allergies at home they take this opportunity to own a cat. However, these kitties are often left behind because the student does not have a long-term plan, or their plans change. Being a student means it is the beginning of your independent life, and it can be transient when you are in an educational institute and have to share your life with many other people. In the case of Qadirah, it was luckily a student who rescued her and her brother. They brought them into safety and found a home for the boy, and little Qadirah came to Pet Patrol.

Personality
Qadirah (pronounced KA-dear-ah) is absolutely gorgeous, but she has taken her time getting to know people and she can be pretty timid. She is in a foster home where they are diligently working with her to help her become more adoptable. Qadirah is like any young cat, she loves to play, preen and watch the birds and squirrels outside the window. She is good at chasing a krinkle ball and will steal the catnip toys from other kitties. Qadirah is a beautiful kitty with a lot of potential and needs someone who has time and patience to complete her socializing. She sits close to people and smells their hand, but is not quite at the petting stage yet. She is getting better with time and patience.

Commitment of the Heart
