His rescue story told by his rescuer: “The woman I clean for has had a mother cat hanging around with her kittens (two). She lives on a busy road and recently found the mother cat was hit by a car and died. One of the babies is missing now for two days. The other is in her yard crying. She’s asked if I’d take it to the rescue. I’ll go pick it up this afternoon. This is the first I’ve heard of these cats, I didn’t know they were there last week. Anyway, can I bring it in with me in the morning. She figures they were just about weaned age. He cries a lot. Probably misses his mom. I can’t help but wonder if he was with her when she got hit … how sad”. The next morning Orion was brought into Pet Patrol care where he purred happily when pet and cuddled.

Orion was a little shell shocked when he came into the sanctuary, but with lots of cuddles and petting he soon felt very comfortable. He purrs readily and is happy to be with people and will come to you for affection. He is very playful and likes to chase anything that rolls, bounces or makes a noise. He runs around with the other kittens in the sanctuary in a haphazard game of Tag/Hide & Seek. Quite entertaining! Orion doesn’t mind being picked up and carried. He is gentle, fun loving and very sweet. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
