Rescue:

Nelson is a lovely, long haired and intelligent cat who was a favourite on the farm that he
came from. He had shown up one day looking pretty rough, having endured the heat of the
summer and not having food or water. The farmer took note of him, and seeing that he was
friendly they became fast friends. When Pet Patrol was called he had been there for a
couple of years, and could be found resting on the bales of hay that line the center aisle of
the barn, in front of the horse stalls. He was not afraid of the large animals there, but he
was worried about the other cats. The young ones were strutting their stuff and often would
decide that Nelson would be a good target. He was not a fighter, but they challenged him
all the time. One day he left the farm and the family were worried about him. He was found
on the next property but they didn’t want him there so the farm owners retrieved him and
kept him safe until they found Pet Patrol.

Personality:

Nelson looks like he is a big guy, but under all the floof is a skinny boy. He is quite agile and
playful, dashing across the room after a shadow, toy or a bit of fluff. He is definitely goofy
too. It was a challenge to take his photo as he would roll over and look at you upside down,
legs in the air and asking for a tummy rub. So cute. He is all boy cat though and patrols his
environment, watching out the window and making sure everyone is greeted at the door.
Nelson has adjusted to indoor life without a hitch. He is loving it! He even understands toys.
This handsome boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safley indoors.
