Mimi and Marina are adorable and were born outside, under a backyard shed. The opening under the shed faced a wooded walking trail not far from the downtown core. Their mother is spotted along that trail quite often, and farther along there is a small colony of these cats living in a quiet neighbourhood. She chooses to have her kittens farther away from the other cats, where she feels safer and the shed provides sufficient shelter. Being fed was not a problem as there is a kind, older woman who visits them many times a day and provides them with food and fresh water. She talks to them and they trust her. This is a great way for stray cats and kittens to understand the kindness of people before being rescued. The mother cat has eluded many attempts to rescue her, but her kittens have been brought into safety and have done very well socially. with all the changes.

Mimi was the first to be rescued and she is so cute. She loves to receive affection and attention from people and will roll around for a belly rub and head to toe petting. She is active and playful, chases that red laser pen dot, catnip mice and toys that crinkle and bounce. She most often found in the kitty climber house, peering out at everyone and watching what is going on. The window is a source of entertainment and excitement as she watches the neighbourhood activities. She is quite fond of her sister Marina and the two of them are like two peas in a pod. They will seek each other out for cuddles and purrs. Mimi is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
