Pet patrol received an email from a woman who had found two kittens in her yard. This was Mariana and her brother Marco. They were rather tiny at that time and she wasn’t sure what to do. It is not unusual for mother cats to seek out shelter under a deck or shed, in garden houses and carports to have their kittens. Any place that will provide safety and shelter will do, because they have nothing else. The woman put food out for them and as the kittens grew she realized that they should be rescued so that they had an opportunity to have a safe and loving home. The mother cat by then had disappeared and they were on their own. When she contacted Pet Patrol the woman had offered to foster them and help to socialize them until ready for adoption. They were neutered and spayed while in her care and did well. Soon they came to Pet patrol and have continued to thrive.

Mariana is a beautiful black kitty with such a glossy coat. She is also a bobtail, which means she was born with just a little bit of a tail. She is very gentle and sweet natured. Does not mind being picked up and cuddled and carried around. She is unsure of new surroundings at first but soon her curiosity kicks in and she explores everything in the house. She is playful and fun loving, likes to look out the window, hang around on the top perch of the kitty climber and cuddle with the other cats. Especially her brother Marco. This pretty girl is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
