There is a woman who has her own little house and lives in a small little town. She has a feeding station on her front porch and feeds many cats there on a daily basis. Many are not friendly and try as she may, they will not allow her to get close to them, but they watch and wait for her to bring out the food. This is what gets them through day to day without starving and becoming ill. They come and go, but those that are friendly are rescued. Across the street from her, and elderly neighbour mentioned she had a pretty calico cat under her back deck who had a litter of kittens (Mader and Marble being two of them). She was encouraged to put food out for them twice daily, so that the kittens will be happy and healthy, and then start rescuing them. The elderly woman was not able to rescue them herself, but humane traps were set up when ever the neighbour was home enough. The kittens were kept away from the trap by their mother, who had no intentions of going inside it herself, and often would curl up and have a nap beside the trap. Hmmm! Finally one day Marble and Mader did go into the humane trap independently and were immediately brought into Pet Patrol care. Although frightened and never having been touched by people before, they were pet-able and soon become more comfortable with their caregivers.

Mader is quite a nice little boy. A bit skittish at first he has settled in nicely and likes to play with all kinds of toys, and scale the cat climber to look out the window. He is intrigued by the birds, but no desire to be outside. He is good with his sister Marble, and they can often be found curled up together or chasing down a catnip mouse. He is a gentle cat and likes to be pet and brushed. Mader is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
