Rescue:

Handsome Lucas and his siblings Murphy and Fraya were born in a barn in a rural community.
There was not much in the way of cat rescue organizations or vets that do low cost spay neuter
surgeries to keep barn populations down. So, it was not uncommon for a cat colony to grow
and grow and grow. On this particular country property, the kittens were handled gently and
kindly by the children and they received a lot of love and attention. Unfortunately, being outdoors
and with wild life lurking in the woods, one kitten was snatched up by a coyote never to
be seen again. That was the turning point, and soon afterwards these three kittens were
transported to the safe foster home of a small cat rescue about an hour’s drive away. From
there they came into Pet Patrol care and have thrived since then.

Personality:

Lucus is a big boy with a big heart. He is lovable and likes to be petted and cuddled. In return
he will purr deeply and fall asleep in your lap, with a very contented look on his face. As an active
cat he loves to run in and out of the cat tunnel, play games of Chase with the other foster cats
and also likes the laser light. Ping pong balls are a delight to cats as they roll well on both
hard floors and carpet, and bounce off walls nicely. Lucus finds the best views from the top of
the cat tree and like all cats watches the birds and squirrels outside. He is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors. .
