Rescue:

Lacey came from a farm property where she was observed running through the yard. The
owners had never seen her before and it was fairly unusual to have stray cats show up unexpectedly.
They are a bit of a distance off the main road, but it is thought that someone drove
close to the lane way and this little cat was dumped. She ran up to the first person that she
met, showing how friendly and affectionate she is and that she originally was owned and cared
for. She did not mind being pet and purred happily. Lacey wanted in the house desperately.
She was not used to being outdoors and did not have a thick winter coat like an outdoor cat
would have, she was cold and hungry. The family brought her indoors to a large bathroom and
she immediately ate until she was full and fell into a deep sleep. Poor girl. There is no telling
how long she had been outside. Soon she was on her way to Pet Patrol after the family had
searched for a cat rescue or city shelter to take her. None could be found. Pet Patrol was at
capacity but one spot opened up for her and she settled in nicely.

Personality:

Lacey is quite a compact little cat who is dainty, polite and unassuming. She is friendly and
affectionate and likes her people, but would do best in an adult only home. Quick movements
and sudden sounds can send her scampering away. She is playful and happy to play with toys
and be interactive with her people during play time too. Laser lights and the wand toy are all
things to be chased and caught like any mighty cat would do. She loves cardboard boxes that
are set up like a cave so she can sleep in them, cozy and private, anything soft and warm is
kneaded on before settling down for a nap. She is a lap cat as well, and although unsure of
being picked up she is doing better. Lacey is fine with other cats and would like a gentle and
loving buddy to keep her company. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One
that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
