Rescue
Pet Patrol receives their cats from many different circumstances, locations and for different reasons. In the case of Kesha and her colony of cats, they came from a rural property. When the lady moved in, there were just two cats. She tamed them and quite enjoyed having a couple of cats wandering around the property. Then in the spring, there was a litter of kittens born and she was entertained and bemused by the antics of the little ones. All the cats were well-fed and sheltered, and they were cared for in every way except for being spayed or neutered. Three years later she finds herself in a position where she has to moved from the rented property and back into town. By this time, there were thirty-five cats and no one to care for them after moving day. The landlord was not going to be left holding the bag on this one and the woman had to find a place for them. So through the help of a coordinator and many different rescue groups, most of the colony has been rescued. Luckily for the cats, they lady had taken the time to tame them.

Personality
Kesha was very timid when she came to us, but with some time and patience she became a lot more confident. She loves to be petted and have her ears rubbed. She will even draw your attention and insist you to pet her in case you have forgotten! She can be picked up and carried around and occasionally enjoys sitting on the lap. Kesha loves to play. Running and tumbling with her stepsister, hiding in bags and peeking out of boxes. She will chase anything that moves and loves all her toys. Then she will come over for another round of petting. Kesha is a lovely kitty.
