Rescue
Keagan came from a rural property. We figure he was born in the fall to a barn cat who continues to roam the farm. The farm sat abandoned since last summer. Then the property was sold and all the animals were moved out and the barn torn down early this spring. The wind is ever-present out there, and it ripped through the remaining out-buildings. The cats’ only shelter was amongst the bales of hay and straw. A new manufacturing company set up there this year, producing an organic mulch with big trucks, loud machinery and more people coming around. Keagan and the other cats were quite curious and started nosing about when all was quiet. They really took up an interest when cat food was supplied for them. Keagan was the most outgoing and was the first to be rescued. He was timid at first, but has learned pretty quickly that people are gentle and loving, and provide safety and food.
Personality
When this handsome white and brown tabby patched boy, first arrived at his foster home, he was not quite sure what to make of it. Keagan had never had ceilings above him, walls or doors, and a window was a mystery. He was cautious and concerned about this place , but was completely petable and would bunt his head into your hand for more affection. Keagan came around socially rather quickly, and now will rub up against your legs, purring deeply and appreciative of your attention. He is quite playful and enjoys climbing the kitty climber, chasing after toys and rolling in the cat nip. He cant still be a bit timid, and it will take some time for him to adjust to a new home, but then he will become a love machine and show you how much he appreciates you. Keagan is ready to be adopted into a gentle and loving home. One that is adult only and preferable with another kitty to play with.
