Rescue:

A woman who lives on a country property, has been spaying and neutering her neighbour’s
cats for many years. She has rescued their kittens, and raised them until they were
weaned, found homes for them and their mothers, and continued to care for the adults that
migrate to her yard. The properties are kitty corner to each other, the neighbours was unkempt
with at least two acres of abandoned sheds, skids, trailers etc. This provided the
cats with a lot of places to seek shelter, but not many places for them to safely have their
kittens. The mother cats would regularly cross the field, go through a bush and end up at the
woman’s chicken coop. There she would feed the mother cats so they would not have to
leave their kittens to hunt, and she would handle the babies so they became used to people.
She often would move them into her shop/artist studio to raise them in a more climate controlled
area. She was a kind person who received no recognition from the neighbor for
helping to keep their property free of an over population of cats. This is where Jackson,
Jojo, Jazzy, Jade and Jeffy came from.

Personality:

Jackson is so sweet, and he tries to keep up with his bigger siblings, but he is a pretty tiny
guy. His foster care givers have readily watched his weight and made sure he was eating
and drinking well, and he has continued to progress. He is doing very well. It can be a
challenge for him when his bigger siblings want to wrestle, but during track and field he can
hold his own and readily joins right in. Jackson is a very sweet little kitten. He is happy go
lucky, easy to pick up and carry. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
