Rescue
A mother cat was spotted sitting in the middle of a lawn at a trailer park, watching her kittens play. They were leaping and jumping around, catching little flying bugs and playing tag with each other. As the kittens were eight weeks old, the neighbours knew it was just a matter of time before they would have to learn to fend for themselves. This means tearing apart garbage bags for food and nesting under the trailers in the insulation for shelter. By fall they would be old enough to reproduce, and then a real overpopulation situation would begin. It was easy to bring in the mom, as she was very personable, but the kittens took a little longer. Obviously the mother was a pre-owned cat, as she settled right in to her foster home, and was quite appreciative of having a soft bed and plenty of food.
Personality
This gorgeous long-haired, orange and white boy was quite a scaredy-cat when he was rescued. He wanted nothing to do with people, but in time with a lot of love and attention, he came to be friendly with his foster caregivers. At feeding time is when he can be quite chatty and wants to be petted. Idaho likes to play with balls, string, laser pen lights and of course the other foster kitties. He is a beautiful cat inside and out. Idaho is ready to be sponsored by a loving and caring person, one who believes this kitty needs a helping hand.
Commitment of the Heart
Idaho has no health concerns, but continues to be frightened of people and is antisocial. He becomes aggressive when handled and it is quite a chore when it is time to visit the Vet.
Idaho is part of our Commitment Of The Heart program. If you are interested in sponsoring him, please call 519.669.1979.
