One afternoon Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who works in barns and helps people clear out cluttered areas on their property (sheds, houses and backyards). She told us about a female cat (Harmony) and a male cat (Hunter) and their three tiny kittens. The woman had been feeding Hunter for about three years. He arrived on her rural property as a young but very frightened cat, who did not know who to trust or where security was. She started feeding him daily and saw his health improve, and provided him with a place to stay, out of the weather in her partially used barn. He stuck around and eventually allowed her to pet him, and they became friends. One day a little female cat showed up and was sticking pretty close to Hunter and he, being a kind soul, was taking care of her. It was Harmony, and as nature took its course, there were kittens born not long after the winter weather disappeared. Both cats were finding shelter across the road by how, at a neighbors barn that was in much better shape. Problem was, this little feline family had to cross a very busy road to reach their food source. Wee kittens were struggling to keep up with their parents, but somehow they managed to not be hit on the road. Harmony and Hunter were the first to be rescued and eventually the babies came in too. It was very worrisome to think they were out there without adult cat protection.

Harmony is a beautiful spotted brown tabby, which means that she has pretty peach markings through her coat. She is a very nice cat, who is good with people, likes to be pet and is very attentive to her significant other, Hunter. She was quite concerned when she was first brought into our care, her kittens had not been rescued yet, and she was not all that sure about being indoors. But she has since settled in nicely and having Hunter with her really gave her confidence that she was not facing all these changes alone. She is a playful cat and has discovered toys and explored the sanctuary. Harmony is ready to be adopted into her forever home with Hunter. One that will welcome them into the family and keep
them safely indoors.
