Rescue:

A woman had heard the unmistakable desperate cry of a kitten outside of her home throughout
the night. She went outside, but even with a flash light she was unable to find him. Early
the next morning she again heard little Floyd crying and he was finally located in the flowerbed
amongst the blooms and leaves. This property was on a busy highway, outside of town and it
is a real mystery as to where he came from originally or how he got there. The woman immediately
went into the house and retrieved some soft cat food and tuna to try and lure him out
and was successful. She brought him into her bathroom until she could figure out who to call
and who would help with this little guy. A message was sent to a woman that she knows locally
who used to rescue cats, and still helps out occasionally. Soon Floyd arrived at the rescuer’s
home, bundled in a towel with his little green eyes peering out. He was frightened and cold,
but had a big belly and soon was feeling much better.

Personality:

Floyd has been described by his foster mom as laid back, super snuggly and likes to be held
on his back like a baby. He is up for belly rubs and is the first of the foster kittens to greet you
at the door. This active boy loves to play with anything, especially things that crinkle and is
very curious about things that are new. He will check things out by sniffing them, pawing at
them etc. but startles with sudden noises still. Once he is familiar with his environment he
shows his calm, cool and collected side. He has been cared for in a foster home with another
orphan kitten, Oscar, and they play for hours on end, chasing tails and then falling asleep in the
big kitty bed. He has met the resident golden retriever and is fine with him. Floyd is ready to
be adopted into his forever home with a playmate or buddy Oscar. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
