There is a nice tight knit neighbourhood that has had a few stray cats show up in their area. The cats are usually noticed in their back yards, where it is quieter and away from traffic and the general population. They may take refuge in sheds, under decks or even in open garages. They are in desperate need of food and shelter, the basics for survival. One day Floyd showed up. He was peering in the back patio window of one home. The lady inside started feeding him, and really took a shine to him. She asked Pet Patrol to help with getting him neutered and vaccinated, and she would invite him into her home. She knew he was not touchable at this point, but she wasn’t worried. She was sure that under that cautious look, he was a nice cat just begging for love and attention. It is unfortunate for Floyd that before he could be rescued the woman suddenly, and unexpectedly, passed away. He was left on the street. A neighbour understood the passion her friend had for Floyd, and agreed that he needed a change. She rescued him and brought him to Pet Patrol.

Although it was a slow start for Floyd to show his affectionate side, it did happen and to our pleasure. He is quite the handsome boy and when he smiles it melts your heart. His life was so sad before, destitute and lonely. He is now happy and carefree. Floyd likes to be up high and watch everything that is going on. He has his perch and can watch out the window and all the activities of the room. He likes to know what is going on. At the sanctuary there are many cats, and he is fine with all of them. Not a mean bone in his body. Such a gentle natured boy. Floyd is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
