We think that little Emilie showed up on a farm with her mother. As the farmer came around the corner of the building all he saw was a cat staring at him fearfully, and then taking off at full speed. It is not uncommon for stray cats to show up on farms, without notice and usually hungry and unsure, so the man half expected to see the cat at the feeding station that evening. She was never seen again. We assume it was a she, and that she was transporting her kittens to a safer place, as the next day he heard kitty cries from under his back deck. Looking underneath he could barely make out a little black kitten, wide eyed and shaking in fear or with the cold winter air, not knowing what to do. This was Emilie and the cat that ran away was probably her mother. The man’s wife crawled under the low deck and was easily able to pick up the tiny kitten and bring her into the house for safety. Shortly thereafter she came to Pet Patrol where she showed her friendly and affectionate nature within a few days. A search was carried out for other siblings, but none were found.

Emilie is a very excitable kitten. She will greet you at the door when you come home with purring and love. She likes playing with her humans the best (more than her toys!) and seems fascinated with your hands and feet. She has fun constantly running around as she has so much energy and will play ‘hide and seek’ with you too! Emilie will do well with other pets who are gentle and fun loving. When she is tired, this little one will cuddle up with her human during a movie or when going to bed. Emilie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
