Rescue:

Ellie was born into a large colony that lived on a farm on the outskirts of a small town. The
people there were Hay and Straw dealers so there were no livestock in the barn but plenty of
bales for insulation for the cats to burrow into. There was a large colony of approximately thirty
felines and the woman living on the property was reaching out for help. She was especially
concerned about a young kitten in dire need of being rescued. A local woman who had done
cat rescue for years responded to the social media post and headed out to see the kitten and
bring it into her care. She soon discovered the large colony and went to work trying to place
some of the friendly cats with other rescues, and have everyone spayed or neutered. Ellie
was one of many little kittens that wandered aimlessly around the vast barns, not being handled and frightened most of the time. She was rescued and has done extremely well in Pet
Patrol care

Personality:

Ellie likes to be around other cats and although hesitant when she first arrived, she has done
much better with people. She likes to be pet, have her ears rubbed and sit with you on the
couch or stretch out on the bed at night. She is petite and has a beautiful ballerina body, long
and lean. Ellie is a playful and active cat and has taken in all the sights from all the windows in
the sanctuary playroom. She likes to watch the traffic, wild life and people coming and going.
Any toys, tunnels, boxes or bags, catnip mice, balls that crinkle and especially the wand toy
have been tested and approved by this little girl. Ellie is ready to be adopted into her forever
home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
