Pet patrol received an email message from a lady who found Cleo: There has been a young grey and white cat coming to see my kitty (senior indoor cat) through our living room window. It seems she is outside all the time, and there was a real cold front and storm last week. I don’t know where she came from, but she was very distressed and hungry. I couldn’t stand seeing her so desperate, to make a long story short, I took her in and she is living in my spare bedroom. I also discovered she is in heat, so not spayed yet. I am a senior myself and cannot really afford two cats or getting this one fixed either. I thought about the local shelter but thought I would try a rescue organization as well. Can your organization help me and this kitty?

Cleo certainly came to the right house for help. People don’t realize that cats have an incredible sense of smell and they can pick out the houses where other cats are, this means cat people, this means help and safely. This pretty girl found just that. While living in that home she was treated well, had plenty of food and water, cuddles and she loved to stretch out on the bed. She was a pretty happy cat and remains so at the sanctuary. She is affectionate and likes her people, eager for petting and a cuddle. Cleo likes to play with a variety of toys and will chase bouncy balls and wrestle with crinkly toys as well as climb the kitty scratching post and take in the view from there. Cleo is a great kitty, ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
