Rescue:

Here is the story of Callie and her two siblings, Casey and Chloe: A couple who live in town have had a stray mother cat on their property for approximately six years and have done everything in their power to rescue her (befriend her, bribe her, trap her) so she can come inside but she is still very leary of people. She has had many litters which they fed and rescued, but some she moved away from them. This feral cat stayed around and was supplied shelter and food all winter and the couple had made arrangements with their vet several times to have her spayed but she would not be rescued. Then life became too busy, they were not home much and one month went into another. Admittedly their procrastination did not pay off – the mother cat was having babies – again. They had a soft spot for her all along but needed to stop this kitten train. Once the kittens reached 6 weeks of age they brought them indoors for socializing and finally to Pet Patrol for adoption. Their hearts are sad to see them go as they are the last litter for this mother cat. She was finally rescued and spayed, and being completely feral, they released her back onto their property after recuperation. She has the necessities to successfully survive, but the wish is always for them to be indoor.

Personality:

Callie and her siblings are playful, active and fun loving kittens. Any toy is meant to be played with, a cardboard box can become anything that a kitten can imagine, and the kitty climber lets them look out onto the world outside from the window. They are affectionate and gentle natured, and they have come a long way from being timid and unsure of people. They were raised from six weeks to twelve weeks by the woman’s elderly mother, and although she loved them to bits, it was a quiet home. In their Pet Patrol foster home they have a family cuddling them which has really brought them out of their shells. Calley is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
