Rescue:

Buster came to Pet Patrol through one of our volunteers. She comes to the sanctuary to
help clean on a weekly basis, has learned about the cats, our quality of care and our mission.
The morning after her night shift she sent a message saying that her parents, who
live out of town, had a nice kitty show up in their backyard. They first saw him by their
water garden trying to catch fish in their pond. They decided to start feeding him to keep
him away from their pet fish, and to leave the bird feeders alone as well. Naming him
Buster, he made himself at home, laying on their deck, chasing butterflies in the yard and
wanting to be pet. He was very friendly and affectionate and obviously not a barn cat.
Their property is bordered by just one neighbour, woods and fields. Her parents suspected
that Buster was dumped off by someone who deemed him unwanted. Such a nice boy to
have been dealt such a harsh reality. Soon he was on his way to Pet Patrol. Nice boy!

Personality:

Buster has proven to be a really nice cat right from the beginning. He is gentle and sweet,
will flop over for a tummy rub and chin scratch as soon as he sees you. He purrs happily
with the attention and is one to jump up on your lap for a nice cuddle. He is content to stay
there for a nap, movie and at bedtime will be at your feet. Buster is fine with other cats as
well, he has settled into the sanctuary without incident and made himself at home. Once
he is introduced to a real home and a couch, he will be in heaven. This lovely boy is ready
to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep
him safely indoors
