Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a phone call from a local farmer who does things the traditional way.
They don’t drive cars or have hydro to their properties, farming is the usual way of life and
they have a simpler way of doing things. In this case they have a few too many cats than
what they would like on the property, and because they do not spay or neuter their felines,
the breeding is uncontrollable. The man on the other line asked if we would be able to
take some of the cats and he mentioned seven in total. The family did what they could in
regards feeding them, but that was basically very low grade Barn Cat Chow and cows milk.
Not a good idea as cats are lactose intolerant. Soon Ava and her six siblings were at the
sanctuary appreciating a warm and cozy bed and plenty of kitty kibble.

Personality:

What lovely friendly and social young cats Ava and her feline family are. It is obvious that
they were treated nicely by the children on the farm property where they were born. Not
abused or taken advantage of, these cats have easily adapted to the indoor life. They
thoroughly enjoy having the company of other cats, toys, cat climbers and kitty tunnels to
explore and race around in. It is like Disneyland compared to the harsh environment that
they came from. They purr easily and will bunt their heads into you for attention, loving ear
rubs, neck scratches and all over pets. They will grab your hand for more – adorable, and
in return we are given deep purrs and kitty kisses. Ava is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
