Pet Patrol was given information from a woman who does some animal rescue of her own. She had a full house with cats, dogs, a baby goat even and a few chickens. She just could not take in any more animals when approached by one of her neighbours in the trailer park. It was a man who is kind to his pets and had cared for Apollo and Amelia since they were young cats. He found them as strays in the neighbourhood he used to live in, and brought them into his home. They were loved and kept indoors, but were never taken to the vet (not spayed/neutered or vaccinated) and were fed economical cat food. At this time in his life his relationship was falling apart, due to addictions, and he was being evicted from his girl friends home. He was able to secure a low end hotel room until he got back on his feet, but the cats were not allowed there. He had tried to find friends or family to temporarily foster them, but no one stepped forward, even for a short period of time. Pet Patrol was eventually contacted and Apollo and Amelia came into our care.

Apollo is a handsome boy who is friendly, affectionate and really likes his people. He was treated gently and with love in his former home and it shows in his kind personality. He loves to lay in the sunbeam, paws at toys like catnip mice and likes to chase after the laser pen light. He is a cuddler and will lay on your lap or sleep by your feet at bedtime. He is good company for his people and with his housemate, Amelia, and they get along well. Now neutered and vaccinated, Apollo is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
