Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a text message from one of our long time volunteers. He was concerned for the kittens that were living at his brother’s home. They were all happy and healthy cats, raised with good children and handled with care, but there were eleven of them! All born between July and August. Our volunteer had no idea (as the brother lived four hours away) until his brother called and asked if Pet Patrol might be able to help. Apparently he had had an appointment for the female cats to be spayed, but it was such a long wait that the cats became pregnant before then. Kittens were born and brought into the house for safe keeping, instead of leaving them in the barn. The mother cats were finally spayed and everyone was happy. A house full of kittens has been entertaining and efforts were made to find them forever homes. Not so easy in a rural area. There is little support for low cost spaying/neutering, and people looking for a house cat want it already altered. Their efforts failed and then they reached out to Pet Patrol. The cats were brought into care and all have been a joy to have.

Personality:

Anoki and his siblings are very well adjusted kittens who have been raised in a family with children. Six children to be exact and they all have love and respect for the cats. Because of this they can easily be picked up, cuddled and carried around. They are lap cats and like to be with their people. They are very social with new people and have been exposed to a gentle dog. All the kittens are playful and active, liking their kitty climber, catnip mouse toys and anything that will dangle from a wand. Anoki is ready to be adopted with a playmate/ sibling into a forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
