Rescue
Pet Patrol volunteers are a dedicated group of people, especially when it come to rescuing cats off the street. In the case of Amari and his siblings, our volunteers rescued them from an industrial area of town. Their neighbourhood is surrounded by factories, warehouses and storage units. The asphalt covered parking lots have cars and large trucks coming and going, not paying attention to little cats scurrying around. During the summer the feline families seek the cool shade of the nearby woods, and hunt for rodents. In the winter shelter is scarce and warmth is almost nonexistent. The cats would often be seen running from under one car to another, trying to catch a little warmth from the newly shut off engines. Their housing, where ever that may be, might have snow tracked in so the bedding is damp. Warm and cozy, and a full belly of food, is not part of the equation.
Personality
Amari is a handsome and majestic looking cat. He as beautiful green eyes, and a distinguishing white spot on his chest. He was raised with his sister Ashanti and they cuddle together in a heap, play games and can be seen walking side by side with their tails flopped over each other. Amari is good company and very loving and affectionate. He likes to rub up against your legs and chats to you at feeding time. He will sleep on the bed and lay beside you on the couch, with his head on your lap or shoulder. He loves to be petted and brushed, and in return you get deep purrs and a look of pure adoration. Amari is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
