Alfie presented himself as a friendly and affectionate cat, while he lived outside. It is unknown where he came from, where he found shelter or if he actually belonged to anyone. He is very cute looking and caught the eye of a young woman while visiting her family. Her parents didn’t want the cat to come inside because they had other family pets, but the woman made sure he had food and water daily. There was a little cat house on the porch, but it was occupied by a feral cat. Alfie appeared one day with a limp. He was holding up his back leg and he seemed in distress. After many conversations about bringing him inside so that Pet Patrol could care for him, and get the medical attention he needed, they finally rescued him. Indeed Alfie had been attacked. His back leg had a huge abscess on it, his front paw had a bite wound as well and his mouth was swollen so he couldn’t close his mouth or eat. After a day at the vet, he came back to the sanctuary where he has recovered fully. He was a good patient. Alfie is now a much adored, happy go lucky boy with his rough and tough past behind him.

From his Foster mom: Alfie is such an affectionate boy! He is happiest when someone is paying attention to him and giving him lots of cuddles and petting. He is always eagerly awaiting our arrival when we get home, and he gets very chatty when he knows it’s time to eat! He is very playful and is great at keeping himself entertained with a few good toys. He has also been a fabulous big brother to our other foster kitten, and has helped show him how to properly snuggle and play with the humans. Alfie is quite happy to cuddle up with our small dogs at bedtime, and he is also great at being a nice warm pillow for you while you’re sleeping. This cute boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
