Rescue:

There is a very kind woman who lives in a small village off the highway. She has, for years, been
working on controlling the cat colony that migrates to her property from the neighbour’s horse
farm. It is located kitty corner to her back lot and from an opening in the tree line you can see
about five acres of abandoned trailers, skids of wood, sheds and dumpsters. Beyond that is the
single story barn where the cats house themselves in the winter months. During the summer, they
can be found in and amongst the metal clutter trying finding shelter from the heat and humidity.
Initially very few of the cats had been spayed or neutered, the cats would naturally become pregnant and tthe colony become larger. Over the past ten years she has had more than forty cats
altered; as her small community is not involved with controlling the over population of cats on their
properies, including Camilla, Cira, Caina, Chico and Carlo.

Personality:

Carina is a very playful and fun loving cat. She likes to chase just about anything that moves, so
running after the laser pen light around the house, or jumping in the air for a wand toy is very
exciting. She has a sister Camilla and a brother Chico, and they all have integrated into the
sanctuary very well, and are good with the other foster cats here. They will seek out a buddy for
nap time, grooming or watching the other cats from the cat tree. Another favourite spot to catch
the action or a nice warm sun beam, is in the window looking out onto the neighbourhood. Carina is a sweet and gentle girl, who is looking for an adult only home as she is a little unsure of
sudden movements or loud noises. This pretty kitty is ready to be adopted into her forever home.
One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
